Depicting burning candles lighting up the cold dark winter day with the first signs of snowdrops and crocus flowers bursting into life encapsulating the essence of Yule on February 1st/2nd.

We have a winter border of snowdrops and a St Brigid’s cross in honour off the Celtic saint where Imbolc marks the first stirrings of spring. It is a time of renewal, purification, hope and new beginnings, as the days slowly begin to grow lighter. Imbolc is strongly associated with Brigid, the Celtic goddess of healing, poetry, smithcraft, fertility and sacred flame.
