Cailleach

Description

Cailleach was the Celtic Goddess who ruled over the winds and winter. She appeared as a old, veiled woman who was both creator and destroyer and served as patron of wolves.

This bronze figurine shows her crouched down, rough pigtails appearing from her veil, she holds a large wooden stick inn one hand a wooden mallet in the other.

She is joined by a howling wolf who stands by her side.
