Hecate Goddess of Witchcraft

Hecate is the goddess of witchcraft and magic.

She is most often associated with crossroads, entrance ways, light, herbs and poisonous plants, ghosts,

necromancy and sorcery. 

Dogs were a common sacrifice to goddess and the sacrificed dogs where often eaten but most believe they are shades or demons. Here she is depicted holding a flaming torch flanked by her dog.
